THE HEART OF ROCSANA’S hOPE
The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.
Matthew 25:40
When God shows you a need that is so critical but not being fully met, and He opens our eyes to see something horrific that is taking place, we have a few choices.
- Turn away our heads and our hearts and try to unsee what God has shown us.
- We can wholeheartedly embrace God’s resounding YES and seek His unique purpose for us in uplifting precious souls. Whether through financial support, volunteering, or embarking on a transformative journey, following His directive brings unparalleled blessings and fulfillment. As instruments of His power, we witness lives changing and experience boundless joy in obediently answering His call.

Burning Bright: Alejandra's Triumph Over Torment and the Sanctuary of Rocsana's Hope
Hello, I'm Berlin Alejandra Prado Castillo. At the tender age of 4, a family visit turned into a horrifying ordeal. My mother and aunt, expressing disappointment that I wasn't a boy, subjected me to unspeakable cruelty. They tied me up, submerged my legs in boiling water, and cruelly burned me with cigarettes. The ordeal ended when my father intervened and called for help. I spent a month in the hospital, recovering from second-degree burns.
Unable to return to my family, I was placed in the Buckner orphanage for three years, later moved to the Liga de Vida orphanage. After 13 years, as I approached 18, plans for independent living were disrupted due to policies. Fearing I'd have no safe place, I searched for help and discovered Rocsana's Hope.
For the past six months, Rocsana's Hope has been my sanctuary, providing not just physical healing but also the emotional and psychological support needed to rebuild my life. Grateful and blessed, I am now on the path to independence, looking forward to a brighter future with hope.

Beyond Broken Chains: Yolanda's Uncharted Path to Healing and Faith at Rocsana's Hope
Hello, I'm Yolanda Chacón from Amatitlán, Guatemala and I am now 18 years old. My childhood was horrible after losing my father early, and my mother treated me poorly. Rescued at 7, I entered the home "Jesus Christ is my house." At 15, I learned about my mother's passing, and as a rebellious teenager, I faced difficulties in the orphanage. Running away led me to multiple institutions until turning 18 in January 2023.
After a brief stay with an aunt-in-law, I sought help from the CNA. They introduced me to Rocsana's Hope, a Christian Ministry providing support for girls like me. Despite initial doubts, I decided to attend an interview and, to my joy, was accepted into Rocsana's Hope. It's been a month, and I'm grateful for the opportunities here.
Rocsana's Hope, my new home, provides not only financial support for my studies but also essential emotional and spiritual guidance. The director, Papa Stan has a huge and compassionate heart, treating us like his own daughters. Selvin and Lucky, our house parents, offer love and encouragement, making us feel like a true family.
I am so grateful for this opportunity and the supportive environment. I am learning to center my life on Jesus and move forward with courage and hope through the Lord Jesus.

From Darkness to Dough: Rebeca's Journey of Redemption, Faith, and Triumph
Rebeca, the middle child of three siblings, faced a tumultuous childhood marked by her mother's alcoholism and gang involvement. Left to fend for themselves, Rebeca and her siblings often scavenged for food and faced the hardships of life on the streets after their father's tragic murder. Despite seeking refuge with an aunt, she endured physical abuse and eventually escaped, seeking help from a neighbor and the police.
Her journey took a positive turn when she found stability in a private orphanage and later moved to Rocsana's Hope in September 2020 on her 18th birthday. Initially struggling with the influence of her aunt and uncle's witchcraft, Rebeca experienced remarkable transformations through prayer and her newfound faith in Jesus.
Embracing the support and guidance provided at Rocsana's Hope, Rebeca made significant strides. She decided to be baptized in December of the same year and, despite occasional moments of grief over her past, has demonstrated a strong determination to improve. Graduating from high school in November 2023 and completing her studies in baking at Intecap in June, Rebeca has achieved remarkable success.
The culmination of her efforts led to an exciting development—Rebeca secured a position at the renowned San Martin Bakery and Restaurant Company, starting formally on June 15. Grateful for the transformative impact of God's grace, Rebeca's story is one of victory emerging from adversity. All credit goes to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has changed her life for the better, proving that with faith and support, individuals like Rebeca can overcome challenges and achieve the impossible.
